Details
From Berlin come three of their best young actors from the ”Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts”, directed by Kaspar Wachinger.
We’ve dusted off Dario Fo’s Accidental Death of an Anarchist and dropped it smack into Berlin 2025. It starts with a death in police custody and unravels into an interrogation room circus where a chameleon intruder impersonates officials, forces reenactments, and teases out contradictory statements. You’ll see how absurdly everything is still the case: the cover ups, the power plays, the scramble to protect pensions and reputations. But make no mistake, the outrageous excuses you hear on stage do not come out of nowhere. They are ripped straight from the headlines.
Police violence is a universal and international problem, and the only way to confront it is head on. So yes, there are laughs, tons of them, because humor is one of the best coping mechanisms humans have ever invented. Join us as we unmask the farce, expose the lies, and dare to demand accountability, one belly laugh at a time.
With David Kammerer,Luise Winter, and Simon Seifert
The play is played in English. Set in Modern Day Berlin.
