Details

Everyone has been a Pepé Le Pew in their life at least once.

Chasing something that wasn't yours, leaving a trail of chaos behind, completely convinced you're the main character. 🦨

That's basically this whole play.

Best friend sees buddy's girl, goes full Pepé, betrays everyone, people flee into forests, someone puts on a costume, it's a whole disaster.

And for what?

Eventually everyone crashes back together, a sorry gets mumbled, and somehow it's hugs all around. 🤗

The thing is though — Pepé never once thinks "hmm, maybe I am the problem."

He's smooth. He's romantic. He's irresistible, obviously.

That's the real joke Shakespeare was telling.

The skunk always thinks they smell like roses. 🌹🦨
